Let's Send Jonah to the NYT
If for some reason you are confused about what this blog is all about, let me clarify. The point of this blog is to convince the New York Times to hire Jonah Goldberg to replace retiring columnist William Safire. I will be posting various reasons why this is a good idea and encouraging others to do the same. Is it likely that this will work? Who knows. But we can at least have fun trying right? Stay tuned for more content soon.

I fully support your mission and look forward to future posts. Good luck in this endeavor.
That would be the only way I would ever read the NYT.
For simple entertainment value it would be fun to see Jonah in the same room with Maureen Dowd and (kick the cat) Paul Krugman.
The job should go to Frank J. of IMAO.us.

I'd rather see Steyn or Lileks, but Jonah would be outstanding.
Anyone know what happened to Steyn? Is he OK? Coming back anytime soon?
Jonah Goldberg...NYT columnist. Just for the sheer surreal nature of the thing, I must support it.
the world has obviously changed in the very substantial way, when such proposals are made
The problem with promoting this is we'd be trading a week's worth of Corner fun + 1 or 2 G-files/wk for what... one NYT column per week?
I don't have cable. I no see him on CNN.
